Once we get back to Williams we stopped at the Route 66 Bar & Grill there for lunch. It was all done up 50s style and the food was amazing. Everything is supersized over here. The coke they gave us with our meal was nearly a litre!
Once we had finished our lunch we were ready to get back on our Route 66 journey. We drove a bit of interstate as the old road is now the new road and got off at Ash Fork. After a little loop round Ash Fork of Route 66, it's back on the interstate until just before Seligman. We drove through Seligman to find a shop and cafe called Roadrunner with a massive picture of an orange and black Roadrunner outside. Naturally we had to stop! After a bit of browsing we made a couple of purchases; and then at another shop just over the road, with some old cars and bikes in, we made a few more!
As it was now 5:30 and we still had about 3 hours of driving left, we thought we had better get back on the road to Kingman! We passed through Peach Springs and got
To Kingman just in time to take some pictures before the sun set. Kingman is dripping in Route 66 heritage. It has various businesses that are Route 66 related including Mr D'z diner where we stopped and had a milkshake each. We also found a lush car showroom with, amongst other cars, a Barracuda!
Once we'd finished our milkshakes we continued on to our penultimate stop - Las Vegas!
We finally got to the hotel after getting caught up in the traffic of Las Vegas and got some tea. We had a yummy Italian at the casino part of the hotel. Then time for bed to enjoy Vegas tomorrow.
