We got up a bit earlier today to start our travels and left our hotel around 9. We drove about an hour down Route 66 to the Missouri State Park visitor centre. We met a very helpful man there who gave us a more detailed map of the route from St. Louis to Oklahoma City. He also pointed out a few places to stop along the way. We made it to Missouri! Today we have driven 300 miles from Chicago to St Louis. The day started off with an epic cooked breakfast at the hotel and then we set off along our first stretch of Route 66. We ignored the route that our official travel guide gave us as it wanted us to go via the interstate and followed the tourists signs for Route 66 instead.
