After a short wander round Denmark we headed for Albany this morning. It's a cute place and one of the oldest settlements in WA. It was once famous for it's whaling but is now more famous for it's whale watching. Sadly the whales have already moved on this year (we were lucky to see them at Cape Naturaliste) so we didn't stay long and decided to try and make it to Fremantle after visiting some of the natural attractions in the area such as a spectacular natural bridge of rock over the sea and 'the gap' where a bridge once was. Its now a narrow chasm which the ocean is funnelled into creating fantastic waves and spray. We got into Freo late after a long drive and managed to find somewhere to stay (just - I'm sharing with 5 other smelling, snoring blokes for the night!). Tomorrow is Ireland vs Wales so it was important to ensure we were going to be somewhere with a big screen (and a nearby marriage guidance councillor - either way, one of us is going to be annoyed/annoying tomorrow!). Let's just see how it goes!!
