We were up early this morning to catch our ferry to Langkawi. The journey took around 3 hours and so we were at our guest house by mid-day after a short taxi ride. It's a lovely place, very basic but just right for our needs! There is an honesty bar which is a lovely touch and a little plunge pool. The beach is a few hundred metres away and after a good lunch in a nearby restaurant we headed there for a bit of swimming and sun bathing. The heavens made their usual opening in the early evening so we made our way back for showers and a drink on the little courtyard area outside our room. While doing this we were spotting little birds then a couple of hornbills came and sat in the tree beside us (see pic for one of them!). Pretty cool to see them wild after all the bird park visits! Hopefully we'll spot a few more of these guys over the next couple of days!
