Today we decided on a wander down Orchard road, the famous shopping district in Singapore. We also needed to arrange transport to Malaysia and find somewhere to watch the rugby! We went to the amazing visitor centre on Orchard road where the extremely helpful Steven Wang sorted us out, telling us know that the bus was the way forward and even phoned to hold a booking for us. Today we had brekkie at the hotel and went out exploring. We went down towards Raffles Place where the old harbour is and then along to Merlion Park. From here we could view some amazing buildings including the Marina Sands casino which houses the worlds largest rooftop infinity pool and the Durian building which is nicknamed as it looks like the stinky national fruit. We got on a virtually empty plane this morning and were supposed to take off half an hour early due to strikes but we ended up taking off later than originally scheduled-hmm. Still, the empty flight meant it was quiet and comfy and the supply of free booze helped it pass by quickly. There is no time difference between Perth and Singapore so no jet lag - yeah!
