Well, the cowboy dude (aka Sid Hausman) was actually really good, he sang lots of songs about the Grand Canyon and the wild west. Certainly was something a bit different! We also did the mile and a half rest point on the Bright Angel trail which I thought would be horrible as it's simply a mile and a half straight down and the same right back up again, but it turns out I'm a hell of a lot fitter than I thought and we did it in a couple of hours. We saw 4 Californian condors on the way back up and at the top which is a real treat as they are endangered and there are only 400 of these birds in the wild. With 9 foot wing spans they weren't hard to spot though! We then went to see an Andean condor close up at a bird show before moving on to Williams. We stopped and had lunch at the Pine Country restaurant where we heard some fab news from my wee sis! Exciting times! This had to be celebrated-especially given that the pies there looked like they do in the pic! Then on to Dogtown lake where our campsite was based for a few beers...
