Well, we flew across the grand canyon in a helicopter today! It was absolutely astounding! There really aren't words to describe the sheer size of it. We thought we'd seen a lot yesterday but turned out that was only a wee bit of it! Plus riding in a helicopter is really cool and I love it! After that we made up some pack lunches and headed for the Rim trail again and did around 4 miles from the Bright Angel trail head (which we intend to try a bit of tomorrow) to the Abyss view point with loads of the obligatory view stops on the way. After tea we're off to a talk taken by a cowboy story teller - could be interesting. Will report back later...
