We are staying at the Mather campground in the GC national park. It's a nice site and is so close to the canyon. It also has a cafe with free wifi-whoop! Anyway, we took a walk along the South Rim trail today. Not very far but we keep stopping to take in the views which makes for quite a slow trek! We intend to perhaps try one one the trails that goes into the canyon itself on Thursday. It's pretty hot, even on the canyon rim and it gets much hotter as you descend so you have to be prepared for walking back up in the heat! We also booked our helicopter flight for tomorrow morning. I can't wait and hope the weather holds out. It's monsoon season so we have to keep our fingers crossed!
