Spent our full day in Wellington walking around the city, stopped off at a bar by the waterfront for a sneaky cider in the sun, visited the Te Papa Museum and treated ourselves to a sharing platter at a nice restaurant, followed by a night out (I may have had a slight hangover for our 7.45 start)!
Just spent a few days in Rotorua staying with the lovely Jeannie Wyn Williams! We arrived on Sunday morning and we were treated to a picnic by the lakes, delicious lunch and a beautiful view! We then headed over to an orchard to pick our own apples. The owners were so nice and gave us some free corn on the cob! Jeannie then took us to see a Mauri village - so much volcanic activity here. We then took a walk around the geothermal park and dipped our feet in some of the natural pools. To top our amazing day off Jeannie cooked a lovely steak dinner for us... we slept well!
Today me and Jess went to the Redwood forest, had a walk around and had our sarnies in the middle of the forest! We then hired some mountain bikes and did a few of the trails there, so much fun! We had a lush Indian meal at Lovely India, (Jeannie and Jess say Diolch yn fawr iawn Sian) so thanks mum for that treat :) We then spent the evening at the Polynesian Spa in the hot pools looking at the stars, amazing!
Just like to say a big big thank you to Jeannie for her hospitality and being the most amazing hostess! We have loved staying with you and seeing more of Rotorua!
Heading to Auckland in the morning, so more from us in a few days! Xx
P.s. Jess would like to give a shout out to her Aunty Maralyn... Happy Birthday for yesterday!! Xx

Chris Blackler Hi Jess, and Lowri, Our last comment a moment ago does not seem to have registered, so, here it is again, more or less. Lovely picture of you at Rotorua , Jess, and Jeannie sounds and looks like a really kind person. It is nice to know that our favourite niece is being looked after. We are really enjoying hearing all your news. Love Auntie Chris and Uncle Dave x
Dad Thanks for the FT yesterday, Jess - lovely to catch up. And really touching the hospitality you've enjoyed from Jeannie - very special. Safe travels!
Mum (Judy) Hi Girls. Sorry it has taken a while for me to comment on the latest blog. Aunty Pat is determined not to be out done by her niece so is following in your footsteps - even when that means climbing up to the dizzy heights of Fort Afamosa. It is great to hear you have received home comforts and tlc from Jeannie. I'm sure it was a very welcome haven in the middle of your journey. Keep safe if the storms hit and enjoy your trip to the islands. Still can't believe you did that Swing! Lots of love xxxx
