Colleen & Tom's Explorations
This morning after a quick brekky we set off on our journey to Port Isaac, and what a journey!! The traffic was incredibly heavy - a lot of caravans on the road. One of the motorways we travelled on was more like a car park. We left Southampton at 8.30am and arrived at Port Isaac at1.30!!! Five hours!!!
At Port Isaac you need to park your car on the outskirts of town and walk down to the village - really picturesque. We bought some sweets, had a Cornish beer and chips in one of the pubs, and a Cornish Pastie in Cornwall!!!
We walked up to the house on the hill that is used as Doc Martin's house in the TV show, and met some lovely people from Newcastle, England - near where my grandparents came from! They knew someone who lives at Ebenezer, near Wilberforce!!! It was lovely just walking around the little streets and seeing all of the sights that are so familiar to us on the show.
The return trip was only 4 hours - followed by dinner in the brasserie downstairs.
