Matt arrived on Tuesday but somehow we had wrong time for his arrival so we were an hour early so we had to do what all kiwis would do and have a drink while we waited! He arrived in jeans shirt and boots thinking it wasn't very warm and when he went outside into the 32 degrees that morning he nearly died! We looked around Parma and did a little bit of shopping and showed them my school etc. We had lunch in the centre and that night (7pm so Italian day) we went and meet my Italian teacher and her family. That have a really lovely house and an amazing wine cellar! Which dad of course loved! We had ice cream wine and talked for a bit. That night we went out for dinner with both my families, Pippa (my friend) and her host family, and my STS area rep, so they all got to meet each other, we had a very traditional Italian meal which mum dad Matt and Nicole found a bit strange and that they eat a lot! By the end of the night everyone was shattered!
