On Monday we went to Pisa! We took one of my friends (Pippa) who is also and exchange student from New Zealand living in Parma. It was about a 3 hour drive. We got to Pisa after a trip of non stop talking! Of course we got the typical leaning tower of Pisa photos! We had MacDonalds in the sun for lunch and looked around all the wee stalls and bought some small things. After that we sat in the shade and looked at the tower and cathedral etc. At this stage we were dying of heat! We looked through the cathedral and then we went to the top of the leaning tower. It was a very weird feeling walking up! Because you truly felt like it was on a lean as you walk around it to go up. It was a nice view of Pisa from the top though. On the way home jut as we got into the motorway we stopped in a traffic jam. There was a big crash a petrol truck popped a tyre and crashed into a car squashing it between the truck and the barrier (it was a mess!) sadly two twin babies died. But the cars were over 50km long in the line! After three hours of waiting we carried on our 2 hour trip back to Parma where we decided just to have pasta at the apartment because it was already late! But of course the cook top didn't work so dad and I went for a walk and managed to pay a bar man for his own lighter so that we could eat!
