Last week was my birthday, I had an amazing day, certainly one to remember, I slept in then talked to some people from home then when Cecilia came home she came with flowers and a card that said "Dear Rebecca, Happy 16th birthday! I hope you have a great day, wish I could celebrate it with you. I hope you like the flowers too. Love from Hailey" (Hailey is my best friend in NZ) so it was a very cute surprise! Then that afternoon Cecilia and I mucked around went for a walk sat in the sun etc, and she said tonight we have to go out with my dad for dinner and I thought okay this is normal we sometimes have to do this, but when we left he didn't come with us and it was only us two and was confused but Cecilia said dinner is at 9:30 so we have to go my dad will come later cause he's not ready, I didn't think anything of it and when we got there my closest friends were all standing outside waiting for me, it was the best surprise and such a nice way to celebrate, I got lots of lovely gifts (thanks everyone) and my host family also spoilt me! It was a very very cool day! School finished for me at the end of April because this month they have lots of tests so there's no point me being there so I only have to go once a week, school finishes for everyone else in two weeks time. The weather is really really good! Although this week hasn't been the best, I'm really looking forward to summer! Age limits for things are so different here! You can get into clubs, drink, smoke pretty much everything but drive at 16 so was very strange feeling using my ID to get in the other night, but was an awesome time! Everything's great here still, I'm having the time of my life! Italian is very difficult but I'm getting there slowly! Bring on summer!
