We started our day with a road trip to see the 'Iao Valley near Wailuku. It is a peaceful, beautiful valley. The valley stream is lovely, and there were short trails looping around the bottom. The Iao Needle is a prominent point sticking up from the valley. This valley is what remains of the central caldera of the West Maui volcano.

In the afternoon we headed back to the beach and did a shore snorkel to "The Shark Pit". This was the second time we have snorkeled this spot. Tunny and Mark really enjoyed it and they did see a white tipped shark sleeping on the reef. We saw several turtles which is always amazing to be swimming with them. The turtles are huge!! A great day in Hawaii!
