Randy & Marilyn's Retirement Travels
Today was Tunny and Mark's last day before heading home. Maui had significant wind so we headed up the North coast to see the surf crashing onto the coast.
We were so thrilled to come upon a surf competition at Honolua Bay. It was really lots of fun to observe the amazing skill of the surfers as they rode what are called "double over headers" which are waves over twice their height. We then moved further up the coast to the Nakalele blowhole. With the wind it was really shooting high. Lots of stops along the winding coastal road to stop and explore a bit. Very fun day of exploring in Maui.
We ended our day with dinner at the Hula Grill before Mark and Tunny needed to pack to head home. It was a great week to spend together!
