Our next stop was Portland, OR to visit our daughter and family. We had a great 5 days here with unbelievably nice weather. Spring flowers blooming and lawns being mowed. We had the opportunity to celebrate our daughters birthday with dinner at a mexican restaurant.

We arrive back to Portland today. Just in time for Sophia's "Funny Farm" play. It was very special to be there for this evening. A beautiful area that we drove was Mt. Shasta. This is in north central California. They had snow the day before but today the roads were good and the mountain was beautiful.

We arrived at Melissa and Dan's after two and a half days of driving. We begin our road trip with the convertible. We had some tense moments as we we had rain crossing the mountain passes and the temps dropped to below freezing but made it OK. It was great to see Melissa, Dan, Micah and Sophia. Everyone was healthy and happy and it was very good to be together!! We spent the next few days playing with the kids and making a trip to "John's Amazing Flying Pizz...
