Today we took a drive around the south side of the island and headed up Waimea Canyon. This is a "not to be missed" part of Kauai! It has been referred to as the Grand Canyon of Hawaii. We arrived yesterday to the "Garden Island" of Kauai. Today we took the North Shore drive and the weather was good. We stopped at waterfalls on the way up the coast and enjoyed the Light House at the most northern shore of the Hawaiian islands. We saw whales at a distance and hope to continue to see them throughout our stay as they are here throughout April.
