We were fortunate that the weather had cleared and we began our day with an early morning hike to the waterfalls. We were the only ones on the trail which made it fun. Not long into the hike we saw a tarantula right on the trail. It was approximately 6 - 7 inches in diameter and very impressive looking. The waterfalls were spectacular and we were able to get very close.
When we returned we were able to feed the hummingbirds out of our hands. There were so many zipping around us I can't believe we did't get hit by one. We also were able to feed the Toucans out of our hands.
We hated to leave this location but needed to drop Craig off in San Jose as he heads back to Venezuela. Can't believe how quickly the last 10 days have gone by.
After dropping Craig off we headed to Manuel Antonio and arrived early this evening. We're back to warmer temps at the beach compared to our time in the mountains.
