We had a bit of a sleep in this morning and woke up to our usual pot noodle and coffee for breakfast. It doesn't sound good at all, but it really does taste good on a morning! The one we had this morning was more like noodle soup, so we were technically eating a Vietnamese breakfast anyway! I woke up in a pretty bad mood this morning and that seemed to stick for the whole day. I knew we were getting on the overnight bus tonight and the woman at reception said it didn't have a toilet and it would stop at 11pm for a break and that was it. Well I knew I just couldn't hold the toilet for that long so all I kept worrying about all day was weeing myself! I couldn't think about anything else so I was in a foul grumpy mood. Not great for the last day! I liked the overnight bus too so it was annoying about the toilet!
We checked out just before midday and paid up everything we owed. We left the souvenir bags that we got from the Golden Temple hotel for my birthday and the two women were chuffed, they started modelling them for us! We left our big bags with them for the day as we didn't have the bus until 6.30pm.
We were ready to travel today so had our travelling clothes on. I had trousers on so rightly so the sun came beaming out! Just the beach weather we needed yesterday and just our luck! We didn't really want to get full of sand for the bus so we decided to take a walk down towards the pier and where the cable cars started for the other island. We walked as far as the beach pretty much went to the pier and could see where the cable cars went from. We didn't end up walking right up to the cable cars as they were at the top of a hill with nothing around so we didn't see the point.
We had a nice walk about for the day, walking down then back up the beach front. The sea looked so blue, but was still as choppy with huge waves! We walked to the big supermarket to get some nibbles for the bus had a look around a market for a bracket with Vietnam on for me but couldn't find one. We had a walk around the beach front and took in the last of the beach before we left!
We couldn't stop eating today! After the big pot noodle for breakfast we went to a little place where we got the takeaway from the other night and both had a toastie each and then an ice cream. At the shop we bought a chocolate croissant each and then we went and had some dinner before we left for the bus. We went to the same restaurant again- Le Des Amis it was called. We had the same as normal; noodles, rice, veg and spring rolls to share. It didn't get boring at all. It was beautiful! We relaxed here for as long as we could as we had a bit more time to kill before we were due for the bus. We both tried to drink minimal water so that we wouldn't need the toilet on the bus. I was so dreading this!
