We went to check out at 12pm today but they let us keep the key to our room and leave our bags in there as they didn't have anybody else checking in. We headed out to the restaurant that we went to last night as we had left our brolly there. A member of staff had stolen the brolly and taken it home with them so we had to go back for it later once they had brought it back. We got up at half 1 this morning! We managed to get some sleep so that was good! I never thought we would be getting up at 1.30am to do a sunrise trek up a volcanic mountain that's for sure! After breakfast we chilled out on our balcony for the morning and then headed out for lunch for a cake and a coffee. We spent the rest of the day at Ubud Monkey Forest which was fun. There were walks around the forest and the monkeys were wild and running everywhere. If you had food they would sit on your shoulder but we decided against that as they didn't seem like the friendliest and we had heard of people getting bit! The storm got worse through the night. It kept waking us up and it was pretty scary- it was the worst storm I have ever heard! At one point the storm was literally above our room and the loud bang and rumble of the thunder woke us up with a shock and shook the room! Mr Made (his company- Bali Creative Tours) came and picked us up at 8am from the supermarket on the main road. He was lovely, chatting away to us about Bali and giving us loads of information. We got to know him and him us too and he made us feel comfortable. He had a nice big people carrier car so we had loads of room too.
