The weather looked a bit dull again this morning which was gutting but we decided to go to the beach anyway. The sun was in and out so we decided to get a comfy sun bed each instead of laying on the sand all day and getting it in awkward places! The sun pretty much disappeared not long after laying down and came out now and again for a couple of seconds, but was mainly cloudy all day. So much for my tan and a beach day!
We had a couple of beers and relaxed and I read the rest of my book for the day. We didn't get in the water as it didn't seem warm enough to brave it! Plus the waves were massive again! We both tried coconut flavour of what looked like giant popadoms. There was a woman walking about selling them so we thought why not! They didn't really taste of too much though and they were too bland to eat the full thing.
There were quite a few women walking around the beach selling food and other things. Some were carrying big pots on the end of big wooden poles which they balanced on their shoulders. Kind of like a see saw, with something on each end. They sold corn, lobster, popadoms, beers, glasses- anything really. Some would go to the shop and buy some beers and then walk around the beach trying to sell them for a higher price. We saw one woman seller get into a fight with a Vietnamese man. We didn't see what really happened but when we looked she was laid on the floor and people were crowding around here. It wasn't nice anyway!
Once the sun had definitely gone and it became quite cold- first time I think I've actually shivered since we have been away- we decided to accept defeat and leave the beach. We went back to the same cheap restaurant AGAIN! We were becoming locals here, sat at the same table and everything! We had a couple more beers and had an early dinner. We had the same dishes all the time too. Rice, noddles, veg or spring rolls. No point going anywhere else if we know the food is nice and it's the cheapest place around. The food might be the same somewhere else just more expensive!
Seemed like we were getting into a habit while are here. We eat at the same place, we drink, we watch films, we get munch. And that's what we did again tonight. We went to the shop and bought some nibbles to have whilst we watched some films! We keep saying it'll be the last night we pig out!
