Well I spent the last day in Seattle in bed sick and then had to check out and get the bus to Vancouver, B.C. on Monday. It was an easy journey and didn't actually make any stops to speak of between Seattle and Vancouver. It was raining/sleeting all day though. We had to get all our stuff out of the bus and queue up at immigration and I got my first Canada stamp in my passport. All very exciting. Once the bus got in the Vancouver I had to eat having only eaten a packet of pretzels all day and it was 4pm. I got McDonalds and the food packaging has the red maple leaf in the "M" it's very quaint really! Also behind the immigration desk there was a portrait of the Queen, I had to stop myself from asking them if we still own them?! I didn't think it would go down too well!
The Canadian money seems so much more colourful in comparison to the American money. They have green notes, purple notes and blue notes that I've seen and their coins are weird too. Plus they all have the Queen on which is very strange!
Do you remember in the South Park movie when they're taking off the Canadians and the way they say "Oot" instead of "out" well they actually do say that it's really funny! I keep wanting to sing "Blame Canada" but again I don't think it would go down too well!
I definately like Canada more than the US. There seem to be less scary people here. It is a little bit chillier than Seattle though. It's that wind. If it wasn't so windy it wouldn't be so cold. One day when its not raining - it rained until about 1pm today - I'm going to go up to Grouse Mountain and go ice skating and maybe try snowshoeing which should be fun!
