Happy birthday Mum. On the road again to get to the ferry, this time we were passing the a road we'd visited a couple of weeks ago in the awful rain, today the weather was stunning. We drove for a few hours then visited the "Pancake rocks" where we took some photos and had lunch.

We drove to within 3 hours of the ferry and pitched for the night on a sandfly ridden DoC. We went on a little historic walk through an old railway station, bridge, and tunnel, made tea and had little other option but to go to inside the tent at 7 pm. Not good really but made getting up early tomorrow and ringing to wish mum happy birthday much easier.
