We made it back from Koh Tao to Samui a few days a go and have been relaxing. The weather has taken a turn for the worse though so no sunbathing! Deborah and Russell are due to arrive tomorrow assuming they have managed to get into and out of Bangkok with the current protests and if the weather stays like this we'll have to hire a car and go exploring. We've only been at the "Utopia Resort" in Koh Phangan for a few days but we love it. The resort is on the top of a hill with the most fabulous views. When we arrived we were upgraded to a pool side room and the restaurant, bar and staff are all great! We had a very easy journey, by recent standards, to Koh Tao. The ferry takes about two hours from Koh Samui and then we got on a taxi boat and it took us up the coast of the Island to Mango Bay. We stayed in a bungalow (high up) on the side of the hill which gave us a great view over Mango bay and the gulf of Thailand. We have had a lazy few days on Koh Samui and have had a great time. Our plan is to come back in 10 days but first we are off to explore the other islands. We leave for Koh Tao at 11am.

We had a very long and bizarre journey from Phuket to Koh Samui. Three minibuses, a tuk tuk, a ferry and a taxi. It was well worth it, Samui's great!
