Well on last leg of kiwi adventure now in Auckland! Can't believe it's all gone so quickly!! Arrived in Auckland as the sun was shining on the Sky Tower as we drove into the city! So after getting off the naked bus hopped on another one to K Road where hostel is. Auckland almost felt like stepping into another country compared to the quaintness of the Bay of Islands! Finally left Hamilton on Monday, can't say I shed any tears over that haha. Hopped on another naked bus and made my way to Paihia, gateway to the Bay of Islands, via Auckland. Journey wasn't too bad thanks to my good old iPod! Unfortunately it didn't save me from the pouring rain and howling wind on Monday night as I made my way to the hostel in Paihia. Spent most of Friday stuck on a bus or waiting for a bus which was pretty annoying as journey from Whitianga to Tauranga shouldn't have taken that long!  It was also punctuated along the way with what can only be described as idiots asking realy stupid questions when I mentioned I came from Scotland! For example possibly thee rudest man I have ever met assumed we all a) only ate haggis b) constantly drank whiskey and c) all looked like extras from Braveheart! H...

Well today I managed to cycle 30km from Whitianga town to Cathedral Cove! No idea why this seemed like such a good idea haha. Arrived in Whitianga on Wednesday from Coromandel Town and checked into the Cats Pyjamas. It again was really quiet just one couple staying there! Well am now in Coromandel Town itself having had an overnight further south of the penisular at Whitianga.
