Well today I managed to cycle 30km from Whitianga town to Cathedral Cove! No idea why this seemed like such a good idea haha.

Arrived in Whitianga on Wednesday from Coromandel Town and checked into the Cats Pyjamas. It again was really quiet just one couple staying there! After lunch decided to take the "ferry" across to Ferry Landing where I then walked to the point that Captain Cook landed at when he discovered NZ. The viewpoint was so pretty and showed Lonely Bay as well as Cooks Beach and Whitianga. Then made my way down from the viewpoint and back to Flaxmill Bay where enjoyed the sunshine in one of the sheltered coves before catching the ferry back again! Where had some tea and spent night watching tv.

Was up pretty early this morning and literally got on my bike! haha. Rented the bike from the hostel but it was pretty big for my short legs haha so had to praxtiy jump onto it and on several occassions it took me more than one go to actually get it going haha so had a few falling offs haha. Worst, not physicaly so don't worry haha, was just embarrassing as had to stop for some loggers but as couldn't touch the ground so fell off haha wanted ground to just swallow me up but loggers did help me out and made sure I wasn't hurt lol landed on grass so was all good! The journey to Cathedral Cove was def worth it as beach and cove were beautiful! It was where one of the Chronicles of Narnia was filmed! So had lunch sitting on the beack there! Then was time to head back! Def think will be sore tommorow! haha.

Heading to Tuaranga tomorrow justfor an overnight before moving on to Hamilton!
