Day 210, 30 January 2013, Bansko, Bulgaria. Doing very little, and loving it. Went for a walk eventually. Seemed the right thing to do after having had breakfast at 9 am and napped and read books all morning. Diabolically slippery and icy around the streets. Scuttled (slowly and carefully) home after a short while. Highlight of the day (lowlight?) was watching a movie in the evening when the lights went out - Blackout Bulgarian style (our street and to the left - pitch black, instead of usual brown out conditions. To the right of our street - lights were on. It made us think of our months in Africa. If there wasn't a blackout every evening, even just for a few minutes, it didn't really feel like a genuine evening in the third world. In any event, the 30-40 lights in the neighbourhood (5 of which our room was responsible for...) eventually came on. Just in time for "lights out". Sleep tight and remember, keep all your electronics fully charged at all times. You never know when you will have to read your Kindle in the dark.Or watch a movie on the iPad in the dark. Or use the flashlight function on your mobile just to find your way to the loo in the dark...
(PS - today's glamour couple shot was taken yesterday, during our last ski day... honestly, where do I find these gorgeous models...)
