Day 202, 22 January 2013, Bansko, Bulgaria. Still. Photo of local highlight is the church in the old town square.
No, seriously, it's all good. James is getting better and today we went out for lunch - believe it or not to a French cafe. Ahhh.... the joy of hearing English spoken by people who can. Even with a French accent it's better than the purposeful/or not obtuseness of the average Bulgarian. They adore tourist money. If the tourists could FedEx the cash and stay home, that would be even better. I think even Blind Freddie would have to be able to tell that the novelty of the Eastern mind set wore off about 9 days ago, but in terms of a spot to be violently ill and recover from the flu, it's an economical place to do it. One more day of rest and we should be back on the slopes. In the meantime we'll go and snuffle up our pear cider and quiche by Christophe (from Normandy) from Le Retro Cafe. To be quickly followed by brownie fresh from the oven. God Bless Foreign Food.
