We didn't have to leave Rotorua untill lunchtime so I went on the trip to Whakawerewerea thermal village with most of the other girls. We spent an hour or so wandering the village with our guide then watched a cultural performance before being fed corn and sausages cooked in thermal waters. Morrie came to collect us then it was back to the hostel to load up the bus and set off for Taupo. Although I'd only been away for two weeks, I was very excited to be heading "home". We stopped first at a thermal river but I couldn't be bothered getting wet so I didn't go in. Instead I played with my pet stick insect, Pete. Rowan had found him on her towel and gave him to me!! Then it was on to the Huka Falls for a quick visit before we arrived in Taupo to check into the Urban Retreat. Once checked in, it was time to head out to Skydive Taupo. I wasn't jumping but went out to see everyone and dragged Danielle with me. Old habits die hard and pretty much as soon as I walked into the hanger I started to clean up coffee cups and started deharnessing people. I hung around for a while and then caught a lift home with the new limo driver (not the one I had trained, he had left and there was another new one). Volker and Scrappy came to the BBQ at Urban with me then it was off into town for the Mullies quiz. I was very excitable and couldn't sit still long enough so didn't join in with the quiz, just spent all my time rushing around talking to people. I dragged some of my companions upto the Holy Cow but didn't manage to get any of them up on the tables dancing.
