We left Wanaka after breakfast and drove to Arrowtown to have a quick look around the old gold mining town. We then drove on to Queenstown and headed straight to the airport where we had a scenic flight booked. I'm not sure what kind of plane Mum was expecting for our scenic flight but the look on her face when she saw the 4 seater Cessna was hilarious. We did manage to get her into it however and took off for a flight over the snow covered mountains out to the Milford Sound. There were a few moments when I though the pilot was flying a bit too close to the mountains but the views were awesome!!! We flew over the Milford Sound before heading back to Queenstown. I think Mum was quite relieved when we landed safely back at the airport! We checked into our hostel, then the Boy went in search of a golf course whilst Mum and I went for a walk around the lake. For dinner that night we went up the mountain on the Gondolas and had dinner in the restaurant at the top. It was a buffet style dinner and the food was really nice so the Boy and I ate as much as we could!!!

Andrew got up early and headed off on his own to do the fly by wire. I met up with Mum and the Boy for lunch in town then we went out to the Shotover River to go on the Shotover Jet. We all enjoyed the jetboating then Mum and Andrew caught the shuttle back to town whilst I went off with a bit more style. I climbed into a helicopter and was flown up to part of the Remarkables monutain range. We landed in the snow and I got out to take a few photos. I was then flown back to the airport and given a ride into town where I met up with Mum. We went out for an Indian meal for dinner then it was off to bed!
