Fri - I got up early and joined Bagginz on the express bus up to Auckland.  Danielle was staying in Wellington for a few days so she could have a proper look around and a few days peace without me.  I got off the bus in Taupo and went to the Berkenhoff.  Decided to check into Scrappy's room just so I could have some company (lucky her).   Had a burger in the bar with Scrappy then we went out for a few quiet drinks!

Sat - Didn't do much during the day but went out for dinner with Bex and Coll then headed into town for a nice rowdy girls night out!!

 Sun - had a lie in whilst waiting for Danielle to arrive on the express service.  Veno dropped her at the "Hoff" so we just spent the afternoon hanging around.  We went out to the Cozzie (Cosmopolitan ) club for dinner becasue they do a Carvery and Danielle wanted proper Sunday dinner.

Mon - again didn't really do much.  Did a bit of food shopping and went for a wander.  JB drove us to the airport to pick Mel up at 6pm.  We dragged a tired Mel to the hostel and cooked dinner then parked ourselves in front of the tv to watch Monday night tv.

Tues - Hired a car and drove to Roto Vegas coz the weather was pants and no good for making skyjumps.  Went zorbing which was great fun (even though this was now my third time there).  The weather in Rotorua was quite nice so I called work to see how Taupo was looking.  They were jumping so we drove back to Taupo so that Mel and Danielle could jump.  the weather was closing in by the time we got there so the girls didn't get to jump which was disappointing for them especially as they were harnessed and almost in the plane when it got called off.  We headed into town for quiz night (Danielle loves a good quiz).  We came a respectable third!!  I danced the night away as usual in the Holy Cow but Mel and Danielle went home.

Wed - the weather was crap and storms were predicted for the afternoon so we booked into Rock n Ropes for the morning.  There was Mel, Amy (from our Paihia adventures) Danielle and me plus an Irish guy.  I had done Rock n Ropes before so decided I was a bit of an expert (as I have a habit of doing) so headed up the first obstacle to give everyone a demonstration.  We all did three challenges (the wobbly bridge, the three rope thing and the log).  The only one I really had a problem with was the log but Danielle and Glen (the owner) talked me through it and I actually managed to let go of my rope and put both hands out for balance.  Then it was time to do the Trapeze, not one of my favourites!!!  Basically you have to climb up a big pole, balance on top then jump off trying to catch hold of a trapeze.  I didn't like it in 2003 and didn't like it much this time either, but I did it anyway although I was nowhere near catching the trapeze.  For me the achivement is just the jumping off.  I don't like jumping off things!!!  Then once everyone had done the trapeze we moved onto the giant swing.  Again, not one of my favourite things because of the whole jumping off business.  I was the second one to do it and according to Glen, didn't so much jump as keel over and fall off!!!  The whole time we were at Rock n Ropes it rained so we were nice and wet by the ned of it.  Amy came back to our hostel and after nice warm showers and fresh clean clothes both Amy and I were dispatched to the video store to get dvds.  2 hours later we reappeared (Danielle and Mel were convinced that we had gone to the pub but we didn't, we just walked pretty slowly and took ages to choose the  movies).  We spent the afternoon/ evening eating nachos and watching movies!

Thurs - Danielle and Mel got to Skydive, Yay!!!  Due to some confusion though, I wasn't able to go up with them so I was excited for them but a bit gutted that I hadn''t jumped with them.  We went for a pub lunch to celebrate then watched some more of our movies.  We went to the cinema in the evening to watch Pirates of the Caribean part 3.  There was 8 of us altogether and we all wore pirate hats.

Fri- Danielle and Mel caught the intercity bus up to Auckland and I stayed in Taupo.  Danielle was trying to get me to go with them to Japan but I couldn't!!  Did very little all day then headed out with Scrappy for a few games of pool.

Sat - Did nothing all day (I've gotton lazy plus skint) then went out for a drink or two with Scrappy and as usual didn't get home till about 3.45am.

Sun - My last day in Taupo (well for the next few months anyway).  Spent the day doing laundry and packing my stuff.  Went out to Mullies to say a few goodbyes and had a really good night!!!!!
