Simpson Desert Day 2, Monday 25th July. Cold night, but beautiful clear blue sky in the morning. We got up, Amity went out and checked out the dingo prints around the campsite while I cooked us a hot breakfast. Simpson Desert Day 1, Sunday 24th July. Left Birdsville about 11am. Had a play on Little Red and Big Red. The amount of wildlife has been amazing, heaps of birds and lots of green shrubbery! Rolled into Birdsville about 4:30pm yesterday. The road in from Boulia was fantastic. Plenty of water lying around in the flats which are teaming with wildlife. Drove from Winton to Boulia this morning. 369km of scenery and not much else. We saw emus, eagles, red & grey kangaroos, cattle, sheep, magpies and grey nomads...! Heading south now towards Birdsville.
