Today we drove from Eliot Falls to Weipa. We completed the Telegraph Track run today with a crossing of Gunshot Creek. If that doesn't mean much to you, YouTube "Gunshot crossing" and you'll see why we are celebrating with a counter meal and few drinks!! Left Bamaga about 10am this morning. We drove to the Jardine River, caught the ferry across. We then drove up to the most northern end of the telegraph track where it meets the southern bank of the Jardine River. After doubling back about 7km we then drove down the telegraph track to Nolans Creek for "just a look". On the way up we were told of many horror stories about 4WDs being washed away at Nolans. Yesterday was very relaxing. We did some fishing and went for a drive over to the east coast. Jeanette caught three fish and with the haul from out charter we had a great feed last night for dinner. In the photo are little crabs that were all over the beach on the east coast. So much rubbish and crap washes up on shore there. Today we fueled up and are heading back down the telegraph track, initially heading for Jardine River.

Started the OTL Thursday morning with "great success". Palm River quite difficult but do-able. Pushed on to Eliot Falls, Fruit Bat Falls and the lesser known but lovely Saucepan.
