Rolled into Birdsville about 4:30pm yesterday. The road in from Boulia was fantastic. Plenty of water lying around in the flats which are teaming with wildlife.
We had dinner at the Birdsville Hotel followed by a few drinks, and then a few more drinks. Chris and I got back to the tents about 2am, apparently!!
Solid breakfast at the Birdsville bakery, full tanks of diesel and we are ready to hit Big Red, the first and biggest sand dune of the 1300-odd we will cross over the next few days.
Blue sky and 18 degrees but cold nights...!

bundy well done guys, you put in some big k's in the last few weeks. Dont hurry back cos Melb is freezing! Will be good to catch up and hear some stories. Have a few beers for me. cheers Bundy
