Today we has a lovely lye in and then headed to Caesars Palace and the Forum shops. The forum shops is an arcade of shops, it is beautiful! Every shop is like an individual building with the ceiling between all the shops decorated and lit up like the sky! It was all very grand and Grecian looking. After a little shopping we headed back out to have a walk around. We soon all dwindled and went back to the motel, walking around in 40 degree heat is quite exhausting! After an afternoon spent by the pool it was time for round 2!! We were very lucky to get free tickets to go and watch Cirque du Soleil - love which is based on the Beatles and their music. It was incredible! I think I spent most of my time watching with my mouth open because I was so shocked at everything they could do! Some of the dancers were on wires on the air, I was majorly impressed with the trampolining act and roller blading act. It was truly special to be able to watch it!
We left cirque du soleil and on our way out we managed to watch the erupting volcano (we almost missed it as we were standing by a little monument inside the building thinking it was going to erupt but after realising that no one else was gathering round we presumed that we had got the wrong object!). The erupting volcano was again very over the top but pretty spectacular! It had music, water and fire coming out of it, the fire let off so much heat to the pint where I had to shield my face!
We walked back to the dancing fountain and watched this a few more times, quick pit stop for food as I was getting grumpy! And then we headed back to cirque du soleil for a backstage tour by the lady who had played Lucy in the sky and her husband Gaz who was part of the trampolining act. We were so lucky to be taken backstage by these two. It was so cool to see all the props and here about all the work that goes into the performances! Even the humidity in the stage area can affect and change the acts!
This evening was a fab evening!
