After leaving the cowboy ranch we reached Zion national park about 2pm. This is my favourite campsite by far! It has a pool which we chilled out in all afternoon, and is set in a canyon which is just beautiful! This evening we all had an early night (after epically failing to create a fire...Dad, I put down a newspaper base, kindling wood and then big logs and it still didnt work!).

Today I was up at 6am ready and raring to hike! After waiting for everyone to get ready we left camp at 7am and got the shuttle bus to 'The Grotto' to hike up Angels point trail. The first half was very steep and hard work, but I certainly did enjoy the burn! The second half however was not so enjoyable! It was so steep, had metal chains to hang onto because of the sheer drops either side and had signs everywhere stating the 6 people had died since 2004 doing this hike! I started the 2nd half with felicity but soon chickened out and turned back down. Mama jo, roxy, David and our group leader saw me whoose out and made me turn around! After much encouragement from the group and help from mama jo, aswell as tilting my hat to block the sheer drop I made it to the top!! The views were incredible but I was more worried about my hike down! Although the wild chipmunks were cute, and the fat fat squirrel we saw was funny! Hiking down wasn't so bad as my hat hid most of the drops! I spent most of my time sliding on my bottom and clinging onto mama jo but I made it down! The rest of the afternoon was spent by the pool!
This evening Luke and I cooked Thai green curry for the group which was very good if I do say so myself!
Tomorrow Vegas!!!!
