Today we left New Orleans after another yummy breakfast of waffles! We drove about 1.5 hours in order to go on a swamp tour, we had a slight detour as we saw an alligator on the side of the road! Today was my favourite day so far! We went and explored New Orleans (after I had gotten far too excited over the continental breakfast where I made my first ever waffle and loaded up my bag with goodies for the day ahead!) We walked down to the oldest still functioning cathedral in the USA! It was beautiful inside! It was really quite calming sitting inside. On the 2nd September we packed up camp quite early and got on the road about 8. Today was an experience....it was Labour Day which meant that everyone had the off of work. There is another group doing the southern sun tour, their tour guide is called Aaron and he has family who live just outside New Orleans. So we went to his family's house for a BBQ! It was so surreal being in a locals house for lunch! There was 22 of us so it was pritty hectic but Aaron's aunt ...
