Barden's Great Aussie Adventure 2015
We started the day with great service from the groundsman letting us choose the site we wanted and allowed us to stay on a powered site even though we only paid for unpowered because these sites are closer to the play equipment and amenities. Whilst there are lots of people here most of them are on the side closer to the beach so we have no one near us for almost 100m. The sites are huge anyway and there are lots of kangaroos around...big ones and joeys too.
Whilst Matt was setting up the boys and myself checked out the games room and Zach found $2 there so they played whack-a-mole and each got a bouncy ball as a prize which kept them occupied for a while.
Then being a Sunday in a small town, no GP's or dentists are open but I have been in lots of pain for the last 24hrs with ear ache and sore teeth. So I sat in the district hospital for about an hour and got a script which hopefully will fix the problem although the chemist doesn't open until tomorrow. Luckily I have some strong pain killers left over from my broken leg. So whilst I was here, Matt took the boys back to camp and went to the playground.
We spent the afternoon at the water park which was awesome. It was heated and everyone had fun on the slide. It was different to most water parks in that it actually held shallow water which was great for Liam. A thunderstorm hit so we went undercover to the indoor pool and spa. It is really good value here at the moment with it being $32 per night for us at the moment and jumps up $80 over Christmas (for unpowered)!
