Christchurch

From Blenheim to Christchurch (with slightly sore heads after the wine-tasting) we stopped a few times.

Kaikoura was supposed to be the place we got to swim with dolphins, but with boats fully booked and our budget running out, we decided to save that for another time. Did manage to fit in some seal watching along the coast and a famous West-Coast White Bait Pattie.

Hanmer Springs was our next destination, for some pampering in the multiple hot springs and a lovely walk through the forest and along some streams. Very relaxing. Last night in our camper van before heading back to Christchurch to hand it back over and complete our circuit of New Zealand.

Our last day in Christchurch was excellent. Got to sort out lots of plans etc for the next few days and still fit in a tour of the city. We agreed with all the guide books that CChurch is one of the most English cities in New Zealand, what with the boating, gardens and museums. Really enjoyed looking around for the day before heading to the airport for our flight to Australia.

New Zealand is fantastic! Such an easy place to travel around and so many amazing things to see along the way. We've had such a fantastic time here and will never forget it. Maybe we'll even manage a trip back for a ski-season or something....
