What an absolutely amazing day today has been. Just when you think you've seen it all and things can't get any better it does. This morning we left this campsite to head for Wanaka. We stopped off at the Salmon farm along the way which was lovely and had a nice meal there for lunch. Last night was horrendous winds and we could feel the van rocking. Woke up this morning to high winds but glorious sunshine and climbed the Hooker Valley track. This was a three hour walk. We managed it in 2 1/2 hours. Beautiful scenery along the way. Chris had to walk across six suspension bridges in total which was pretty harrowing for him. Drove from Queenstown this morning to Mount Cook which was around four hours. Stopped on the way and saw a fantastic bungee jump which we will try to put on FB at some point as we can’t post videos to the blog. It was amazing. We arrived and climbed the Tasman Glacier View Track which was pretty steep but had amazing views at the top. Pics on way. We are now Camped at the bottom of The mountain for the night.
