What an absolutely amazing day today has been. Just when you think you've seen it all and things can't get any better it does. We awoke to so much cloud covering the mountain it was barely visible This morning We were due on a helicopter at 10. This didn't happen. We then headed to the hot springs and took a private pool there which was lovely for 45 minutes. After a light lunch We made our way back to the helicopter pad and boarded. We took off flew over the Fox glazier, then took in views of Mount Cook and Mount Tasman before flying over and then landing on Franz Josef Glacier which was absolutely amazing. This is only one of three glaciers in the world where the glacier meets the rainforest. The experience of leaving the ground in the sun and within 15 minutes we are stood on the top of the snow on the glazier is just incredible. Back in the sunshine now on our camp site chilling.
