Why isn't tallness a recognised disability?
First things first, my accent is dangeriously wandering. It seems most prominent around Yanks and Auzzies. I need to somehow stop saying "how you going?" or "take it easy mate" when im around them incase the guy from Queensland thinks im playing him for a Sheila and calls up one of his mates.
Made inroads with my room mate, he be Tyler from San Francisco. Once he got past his inate need to say "How you doing" and my wandering accent replied "im good man how are you" I was able to coaxe out some decent chat. Please note the use of the word 'coaxe'.
Oh yeah, went skiing and that. Had 2 lessons and it was cool. Very slowly getting the hang of the turns but strictly sticking to the beginners slopes.
I do quite enjoy being able to say "ive been up the mountain" to my professional skiing peers and "yeah, it was a good run". Ive got no idea why or how it was a good run but also saying things like the "visibility was poor/good" seems to go down really well.
Went into town in the evening and caught a glimpse of Nicola and her BF, she's here, I knew I could sense a slight disturbance in the force. Take it easy mate.
