Why isn't tallness a recognised disability?
Said goodbye to the sex maniac's hostel with a tinge of sadness. Will I ever meet an official sex maniac again with documentation to prove that status? The answer to this question will hopefully be 'yes' but under the conditions that the maniac in question isn't MALE or 70.
Windypops, excuse me.
Lots of exciting things have happenend today. We have been travelling upto the Bay of Islands and stopped off on the way up in a town called Dargeville to purchase vital things such as tapes for the car and shortbread.
Onto the Waipona Forest Sanctuary and a bit of a trek to see a tree that is estimated at being between 1200 and 1400 years old. To put that into perspective it was pretty much around the time that Vince started work at A&O. I was quite contented during the walk and merryily hummed tunes to myself, such as 'Nelly the elephant' and 'Space Oddity'.
The landscape is very Lord of the Rings, everywhere you look it reminds you of a certain point in the films. If they had shot the films here they would have saved loads of money.
There is a hip/happening bar next door to the hostel where we are staying for the next 3 nights. Tonight there is a toga party. Unfortunately I forgot to pack mine but Nicola has got hers and she is on her way down there right now.
2 interesting points to finish on. Firstly, we passed a road called 'Scottys Camp Road' and secondly the make of toilet in the sex maniacs hostel is called 'Fowler'. Is this a sign?
