Neil's Round the World Trip!
We got up feeling refreshed and had a great hot shower, fully appreciated after 4 days without one. We had our buffet breakfast in the hotel dining room.
I hailed us a taxi and we went to the black market (Mercado Molino). We arrived at the market and were dazzled by the morning sunshine reflecting off the metal advertising boards. We walked into the labyrinth-like market and bought some CDs, DVDs, clothes and other stuff. We got a taxi back to the centre and had lunch in Jacks restaurant. My dad had his fave pea & ham soup while I gorged myself on a steak fillet sandwich.
We then walked to the beautiful San Blas area and I booked myself in for more lessons tomorrow and everyday next week (just me and Adriana). I leave for Bolivia next Saturday. I downloaded my photos to CD so my Dad can take it home. We walked back to our hotel and I spoke to my Gran Morrison for a bit. My dad is trying to come home early so he can be with the rest of the family and of course the funeral. However KLM say they have no available seats so it looks like he is going to have to wait 3 days in the Dutch Antilles island of Bonaire.
We went out for dinner to a great steakhouse called El Meson de los Espederos. We had a free salad bar and I got a bit carried away. We sat chatting in the intimate restaurant for an hour and were served amazinf steaks, washed down with a fantastic Chilean red wine ( and only cost 17 pounds in total). I read my Peruvian paper El Commercio in bed and dad read his crap book that he continues to read event though he hates it.
We had an early night and were asleep by 11pm.
