I woke up this morning determined to get a viewing at a house on Beach Road so as soon as it hit 9am I rang the real estate agent and luckily got through to the one I needed. She said there was the potential of getting a look through the house at midday so we spent the morning doing laundry and completing rental house application forms. We then took the dog for a walk along the beach and waited and waited and waited!! Just before 12 we got a call to look at the house and went off and met the agent there. The current tenants were still packing up and had no idea we were coming so in the end I got to have a very quick look around while the others sat in the car. The house had a fantastic feel to it and was just about large enough for us all to fit in. The garden was bigger then it looked and secure for the dog so we gave the agent the application forms there and then and hoped for the best!! We went home for lunch and spent the afternoon repacking the top of the car to head to Dunsborough tomorrow. At 5pm we went off to view another house that looked lovely - it's a listed building -but was not in the correct school zone or fenced from the road. On our way there we got a call from the Beach Road agent to say we had the house and could complete all paperwork at their office tomorrow - yippee!! We could now start planning Christmas!! It was too late to cancel the house viewing we were on our way too so I met the agent and had a quick look through and was not sorry that we took the Beach Road house - half of the house was lovely but the other half needed a lot doing to it. We got take away for dinner to celebrate and had our last night in the caravan - how sad to think that our travels are nearly over and what an amazing year it's been. Although it's exciting to discover Bunbury I'm not really ready to leave the van and the open road and neither are the kids. Sleep did not come easily!!
