With the time difference we were all awake by 4 am and it was light outside. I took the dog for a quick walk outside and then she hopped back into bed with us but she didn't want to settle down. Soon Jonny had joined us and it was difficult keeping them quiet while the other campers slept. We decided to pack up and have breakfast further down the road in an empty spot where we could start the generator. Within half an hour we found a spot, made breakfast and coffee and then were back on the road. We passed lots of emus, all with babies and nearly hit one standing in the middle of the road. By 8am we were ready for another coffee so when we reached Caiguna we filled up with fuel (191.0c) and made a coffee using the generator. Further down the road Tally started barking around Balladonia so we pulled in thinking she needed a wee stop but it was all a con - she was bored of being in the car. We made it to Norseman by 1pm, stopped for fuel and lunch and stopped off at the Tourist Information Centre to use their toilet dump point. Nick took the kids for a quick run around in the park while I went shopping and stocked up on fruit and veg for dinner, as we'd had to throw everything out at the border. Just as we got back in the car it started raining and Tally started barking so the last leg of the journey seemed to take forever. We reached Esperance just before 4pm and found the Yabbie Farm where the owners let a few vans stay for $25 a night, which includes power, toilets, showers and rainwater tanks to top up from. The main camping area was full with 5 vans parked in it so the owner found us a site away from everyone else which suited us fine. There were children everywhere and our kids soon ran off with them all to play while we set up. It took a while to get level as we were on a slope and by the time we'd finished we were ready for dinner. The kids played outside again once they'd eaten but by 7pm Nick and I were fading fast so we called them in for showers and they were fast asleep by 730pm. We weren't too far behind them!

Chelle Can't believe you're nearly home! So close but we still won't see you... Lampshade desperate to chat to Katharine. What an awesome adventure you're having, after years of prep you've made it through with flying colours and increased your family size! That bit I think a bit crazy..... Wonder how I'll manage not being able to read about your daily living. Since you're not returning maybe a continued entry will happen??! Life in Bunners
