What an awful night's sleep!! Nick was awake until 3am and I woke up just after 3 and couldn't get back to sleep. I gave up and read in the end until everyone else woke up and there was no break in the traffic at any time!! We did a few of loads of laundry while the kids ate through a couple of loaves for breakfast and then got ready to go out. It doesn't feel particularly safe here and so we don't like to leave anything under the awning when we go out. Therefore it takes half an hour to empty the car and store things on our bed and vise versa when we return!! Two trips out in the car and we had had enough - it really is time to get a house …… or its time to get back on the road!! We drove down to The Passionate Baker and picked up coffee and chocolate croissants and took them to the beach to walk the dog. The kids wanted to swim as it was a magic morning but we had forgotten hats and sunscreen so we went back to the van for lunch and then repacked the car with boogie boards, snorkel gear and the sun tent. By the time we got back to the beach the wind had picked up and the water was all churned up. The kids went in the water anyway and Nick had a very quick dip but I sat and watched! While the kids were playing in the shore a huge sea lion popped up just behind them and they didn't even notice!! Once everyone had had enough we walked to the end of the dog section to make sure Tally was exhausted before returning home. Nick cooked everyone dinner and then we all had an early night feeling shattered after such a poor nights sleep!
