This blog post is a little different from my normal posts. I am entering TravelSupermarket's Capture the Colour photo contest. Did you see the sky tonight? A big, beautiful, red sun setting over the hills. I came around a corner and there it was. It was only there for about 60 seconds before it dropped behind the horizon. The Big Race is Tomorrow! Our team is finally all in town for the first time in a couple weeks. Both of my teammates are teachers, and they had Fall Break from Oct. 8-18. Karen and I trained together last week while Isaac was gone. On Monday, the three of us went to Drakes Creek Park in Hendersonville and ran 2.5 miles. On Tuesday, we did the bike loop in Gallatin (in the right direction this time), but were only able to do 9.5 because we were losing daylight....

Oyster Race Update Tonight we had our first team practice. We went out to Moss Wright Park and ran the big loop and the smaller one for a total of 3.5 miles. My team has decided to do the Traditional Race, which means that the three of us will do all three legs. Eeek! We registered the team tonight and decided to call our team "In the Spirit."
