The Administrative Staff of FUMC was able to go to the ACS Technologies Ideas to Impact Conference to learn more about our software capabilities & get some training. This year we have two new staff members, so this was a great opportunity for them. It was great to have some time to get to know them better. We also got to eat at some fantastic & unique restaurants. Yum!

I have been trying to implement some new modules so this was a great week for me. I am really glad that the other ladies are excited about our software, but it is also frustrating that we are at the same point that we were a year ago. The officer in the picture above was giving citations to those who were behind the times. I was pulled over three or four times!

There are also a few people that I met at the convention last year that I was glad to have some classes with again this year. I consider them to be my ACS gurus, and they are the ones I turn to when I don't understand something or get frustrated with the software's capabilities. It's always great to network with other churches since for all of us, we are the only ones at our church with our particular job. It's good to find creative ways to solve ministry problems. Technology is our friend! (Yeah, yeah...it's cheesy, but what can you say about a computer convention.)
