We changed rooms today, to a much bigger and cooler room right next to the other one, which was great! We figured as our initial booking started today (we extended the booking for a few days earlier) that this was the room we initially booked. Today was a day, similar to yesterday. Another sleep in followed by a yummy lunch. We then made our way (not very far as we are staying in Sultanahmet which is close to most attractions) to Topkapi Palace - which was constructed in 1478 and opened as a museum in 1924. It was used as an administrative center of the Ottoman Empire and the residence of the Sultans for 380 years. It was huge! We got up very late this morning and went and had some Turkish cuisine for lunch. Afterwards, we entered the Hagia Sophia Museum which was the awesome view from our accommodation window. This monument was previously used as a church for 916 years then a mosque for 481 years. It had been a museum since 1935, and it only took 5 years to build which was amazing back then.
